PROFILE
Hope Meares is a partner and co-founder of Meares and Associates, LLC. She is a
licensed auctioneer in South Carolina and works full-time in Anderson School District
1 as a National Certified Teacher, currently in K5 kindergarten.
EXPERIENCE
Anderson School District One, presently
Hope is a full-time, Nationally Certified, teacher. She has taught fourth grade, first
and second grade science and currently K5 kindergarten. In addition, she is currently
the Palmetto Elementary School Teacher of the Year for the 2011-12 school year.
Meares and Associates, LLC, 2008 - present
Hope has been a licensed auctioneer in the state of South Carolina for the past ten
years and works in the fundraising auction division, Bowtie Benefit Auctions. She has
conducted auctions for Clemson basketball coach Oliver Purnell, Clemson football
coach Dabo Swinney (Ladies Day), Ronald McDonald House and the Greenville Jaycees.
In addition, she has consulted with groups to streamline and solidify their live
and silent auctions within their event.
In addition to consulting, Hope works with the main auction team of Bowtie Benefit
Auctions as a bid spotter and auction recorder.
Meares Auction Group, 2000 - present
Hope has worked with the commercial auction division, Meares Auction Group, in the
capacity of clerk, cashier and online auction monitor on a part-time basis. She is the
lead auctioneer for the Ladies Only auction for the company.
